I know I promised I would be posting more in my last post, but I just got swept away with school (I am going to school to become a Health Coach by the way). But I am currently trying to create a better balance in my life.
Speaking of balance, I am also working on transforming myself in all aspects. Because of this, I have decided to share my Mind, Body, Soul, Food Goals with my readers every month. How this will work is I will set and share 4 goals each month with the intention to uplift, improve, and transform my mind, body, soul, and food in some way.
What else has been going on in my life to ignite this change? Well, I recently sought help from a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner/Health Coach. I know it probably sounds strange that someone who is going to school to become a Health Coach is seeking help from a Health Coach. But, sometimes when your trying to figure things out with your own health, you just need another set of eyes or an outsider to help you get back on track towards better health.
My health coach encouraged me to set goals for myself and develop a better daily routine. I am looking forward to working with her further and going forward with this journey.
September was a busy month but, it also seems like it went quickly. But I am somewhat looking forward to seeing what October has to offer (although I am not a fan of Fall).
My Goals for October 2017
Practice some sort of self care each day. I try to do this every day to keep my anxiety and mental health in check but, sometimes I fail. Lately I haven’t been doing a very good job at practicing any kind of self care. Starting in October I will be practicing some sort of self care each afternoon. Whether it be taking Asher (my puppy) for a walk, reading an uplifting or inspiring book, listening to a podcast, or coloring in my adult coloring book. I will also be tracking this in my bullet journal.
Get into a regular exercise routine. I have not been doing a good job in this department either. I used to do 15 min. of Yoga each morning and then go for a walk sometime during the day. But, lately I haven’t been doing much exercise, and I feel that is one of the contributing factors for my anxiety. So my plan is to do yoga daily, and go for a walk each day after lunch.
Spend each and every day seeking the Lord and soaking in God’s Word. I have a confession! Over the past few months I have not been doing a good job with spending time with God. I know that when I do spend time with God and studying God’s Word, I always feel content, peace, and my anxiety levels are lower. I have my own War Room but, I am currently in the process of transforming my War Room to make it feel more inviting and serene.
Eat breakfast everyday. I don’t eat breakfast everyday, and I know I should. I have noticed that when I skip breakfast that plays a major role with my anxiety later. When I don’t eat breakfast I find myself feeling anxious and shaky by mid morning. Why don’t I eat breakfast? Good question! Sometimes I just get bored with eating the same things for breakfast everyday. But I am on a mission to change this and make breakfast more fun and exciting.
I am looking forward to achieving these goals and sharing my results with you. I also have a bonus goal which is to get into and maintain a better daily routine. I have kind of fallen off the wagon over the past few months, including having any kind of routine. But I am ready to get back on track and transform myself.
So, what are your goals for October? Leave a comment below. I would love to hear from you!
